Big Sky Mural

Based on a deep conversation about the sky one cloudy day, the three and four year olds at Charlotte Children’s Center decided to create a mural of the sky. The plan was made together and included a ground using natural materials from the playground, clouds, birch and apple trees, and a falcon. The children utilized multiple techniques to create the work which was displayed in the classroom and features a sensory table filled with natural materials from the ground. Months later, the group created a complimentary mural based on an underground scene.
