Weaving with Light

Three and four year olds at Charlotte Children’s Center were drawn to a small loom in the classroom as well as the theater gels that were introduced with an overhead projector. Interested in expanding on this exploration, a window loom was built. Using this new tool, children continued to develop their fine motor skills, play with pattern, and notice how their work impacts the space as the sun moves across the sky.
